Fixed the pick up wires, Miracle Cure!

Don't know why I waited so long to fix the pick up wires. It fixed all the hot starting, loss of power and most of the popping problems.

Ken, TopCat and all you guys who keep pointing to that fix keep it up.

If anyone was wondering how hard it is to tell, it isn't hard. When I pulled on the first wire it was like grabbing a rubber band! All four needed repair.

Thanks again, that was a huge fix. I'll resync sometime over the weekend and set the idle screws when one of my buddies is in town with his gauge.

Unbelievable the difference in power. I really like the 30mph rollout in 5th. Awesome.

Good to hear you got it all sorted,
I was the same with the valve clearances,
havent checked them in 4 yrs, 3 inlet valves were so
tight i couldnt get a feeler guage in, all adjusted, the bikes
never run so good, especially down low and cold start idling.

Hi Pete, I was holding off on the valve clearances until I ran it for a while and had it inspected. Sounds like I need to speed that task up too!

It cant hurt hey,
im kicking myself for waiting so long 2 do it, laziness really,
still cant believe the difference in the bike.

You DO need to check the valves now and then! The bucket adjusters close up, NOT loosen up. If you go too long, you can burn a valve, and that WILL ruin your ride for a while!
