Hi guys , I finally received my fork seals today .After I took the forks apart I cannot remember how the washer that sits under the seal is suppose to sit . It isn't flat. Is it suppose to turn up or down?

when I took the forks apart there was a raise washer ,the seal ,a flat washer and then the snap ringBDF Special

I just checked my Yamaha service manual and the SH supplement, it only shows the seal, washer, snap ring, and dust cover. but either way the raised edge would have to face away from the seal. I would put it back in in the order you removed it with the raised edge away from the seal.Alias Larry R in Kelso WA

on my 80 sg it goes like this } seal flat washer snapring with the } being the raised washer1980 XS11SG
