I just bought SS lines from Mikes XS, but haven;t installed them so can't vouch for fit. They look cool though. For the front you'll need 3 single banjos and a double. rear - 2 singles I think.
Here's what I ordered for mine
1 x Boot-Master Cylinder at Brake Hose (08-3007) = $3.66
1 x Stainless Brake Hose - 77-84 Upper Frt (29-6506) = $29.28
2 x Stainless Brake Hose - 77-84 Lower Frt (29-6507) = $58.56
1 x Stainless Brake Hose - Rear for 77-80 (29-6508) = $29.28
hope that helps

Isn't that site just for 650s or did you just change the line size?Chris

So do the brake lines fall into the "will work" category?Chris

Z1 has a nice selection of stainless steel lines and fittings - Z1 SS Brake Lines. They sell it by the length so you need to know what they are. I'd measure mine up for you, but I have a standard and I'm not sure it would do you much good with a special.I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.
'79 XS11 Standard, Jardine 4/1, Dyna DC1-1 Coils, 145 mains, 45 pilots, plastic floats - 25.7mm, XV920 fuel valves, inline fuel filters, speed bleeders, Mikes XS pods, spade-type fuse block, fork brace, progressive fork springs/shocks, manual petcocks, 750 FD, Venture cam chain tensioner, SS brake lines

I've measured the OEM lines for the front:
2 x Front lower - 21.75" long, ~30 deg bend on each end, 180 deg twist angle between ends
1 x front upper - 19.75" long, ~30 deg bend on each end, 90 deg twist angle between ends
Did I read somewhere that there was a guy in Nova Scotia making lines for these??'80 SG

Awesome! The measurement is exactly what I was looking for. Z1 enterprises will make them if u have the measurements. As I said earlier the brakelines are not on the bike anymore.
Thanks hawkins

well, I got the ends to turn, so the upper front from Mikes XS will work, it just has an inch or so more than you need. Lowers are too short though. They just reach with the front end in it's nominal position, but there's zero slack, and you gotta have a little slack.
BTW, I Found the Canadian SS line supplier. I'll see what he can do for me.'80 SG
