Are you saying you broke a tip off?
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

OK Cowboy step back from the drillpress and relax.lol.
You can drill a stuck screw out,but it is easiest to use a mill so you can control the drill or endmill.
If your talking about a screw tip stuck in the tiny hole in the venturi, then you can try and push it back through from inside the venturi with a right angled icepick.
Either way there are pics and instructions on this in the tech tips. You just need to search abit

I tried all the methods in the tec tips, did not work, was afarid of damaging the carbs from thying to poke them out so I just driled them out allready, at this point I figured I had nothing to louse, dont have acess to a mill so did the next best thing, took a tiny drill bit and drilled them out and then drilled the hole out just a little biger,1/16 bit, gess I wont know if it is gona work untill I get them on and see how they adjust out, gess I was hopeing some one elece had done this before with good results
          thanks

            Hi Bob,
my son did the exact same fix on the centre carb of his XS750. (exact same carbs, just about.) and it worked OK.
We drilled the busted needle tip out with a 1/16" drill bit because that's the smallest one our drill press chuck can hold. The hole is supposed to be 0.039" (1mm) diameter and 0.0625" diameter is mebbe twice the area so the needle needs to be not as far out as before. We found that half the number of turns as formerly worked OK.

I had to do this too, a while back. Easy with the drill and you'll get it. I buggered some threads and had to tap the opening. If you need the tap size i can get it for ya... the tap is out in the garage.

With a 1/16 hole I think the spring on the mixture screw will bottom out before the screw will bottom in the hole so you will have to shorten the spring to get to get the screw to seat in the hole.
