Update...from hell
Well everything was going so smoothly i should have know something was bound to happen. The carbs were prett much done, I was just setting the float height and idle mixture screws for the last time, the last carb I was unscrewing the mixture screw (and no it was not too tight, it was the exact same as the others, I promise!!) when I pulled it out the very tip was not there
Long story short I tried every method on this forum and finally the FOURTH machine shop I went to said they could get it out for me...I am still waiting to see the results. I pray i wont be shopping for a new carb, I may have stretched the hole a tad bit but as long as they dont mess it up I should be good. THe break was so stinking clean on the screw could it have been a manufacture defect? I got them from georgefix on ebay. And I was being so careful with them.
i had a hard time getting the oil pan off but once I did i realized that whoever changed the oil last jammed the drain plug and stipped the threads on the pan...got a new pan.
So new question...which carb synchronizer would be the bmy gest for the cheapest? (dont know anthing about these)
1. http://www.indysuperbike.com/custome...productid=5620
2. http://www.carparts.com/CARBURETOR-S...6_N__10618.car
3.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOTOR...Q5fAccessories
the cheap one is most likely too good to be true....
also I checked out my gears on the tranny and they looked really good.Didnt see any wear hardly, but maybe I could ust move the washer to make sure the dogs don't wear out? Would it be easier? I don't know..this whole mixture screw thing has me spooked.
