    I agree. I like to sync my carbs at the beach too.
    Good catch. Normally, if I find an error in my posts I go back and fix them, but this one is just too fun.

    up to a lite when i adjust them
    I too use this method. It allows you to REALLY see EXACTLY when you get that butterfly fully closed. However, you have to hold up the slides if you don't already have them installed. I too have at time seen better results this way. Particularly back when I was using a guage set-up.

    The other tip I have for not only bench syncing but on bike as well (though you have to be carefull with some type of sync-ing equipement) is that after making adjustments to the scews, sometime the full extent of what you just did doesn't physically make it through to the butterflie's position until you open and close all the throttles at main linkage. Again, I need to get this all in one complete write-up.
