      SS lines

Rennsport doesnt have specific sets . You order them by specs . In fact I havent found any place that advertises any set for a XJ11 or XS1100LG. Even sets for the XS11 don't include the rear line and this has to be ordered by specs .
Originally I just ordered all lines as stock but replaced the steel link line inc two rubber hoses with a long (45") SS line as Stereomind has done .
Now with all this back and forth I have found the lever of the mikesxs 16mm master to be stiff and I am going to upgrade to controlling both front discs and therefore eliminate the link .

I used cyclebrakes.com and was very happy with all. The price was ok the lines were great and adjustable, the service and communication was great. Give Ed a call there and they will look after you. I love the way my brakes work and feel with the s/s lines.

            cyclebrakes

I was quoted $190 plus $45 shipping from cyclebrakes for 4 lines.
Seemed expensive so I went looking elsewhere . In hindsight ,I should have just bit the bullet .

Sorry to but in... but I just bought a pair of equal length stainless steel braided brake lines- DOT & TUV (European) approved Spigler (probably miss spelled) brand. They are a part of LP they make Lazer exhaust (which makes Marshal deep tone for the XS1100 bad ass). any way I'm off the subject. The lines have swivel banjo fittings at any angle you specify Ie straight for the MC & 20 degree at the caliper. Banjos available anodized, chrome or standard silver, with dual fitting banjo bolt. They are totally custom made with kevlar lining inside and PVC coated in clear or any other color mine are red with chrome banjo fittings 22"?? long.
Base cost is 99$ the colors are extra of course. They have eBay shop and a regular website too.
here's the link to the eBay shop

Thanks for all the information and advice everybody. I'm checking out the sources for the SS lines. This will be part of my winter mods to upgrade my ride. It will also include a new horn, fork brace and the seat hold down using quick release bolts described elsewhere in the Modification section of the Forum. And maybe a change of the handlebars (back to stock from bull horns).

                  Randy,
did you use the -3 or -4 line? Am guessing you used the Speed Flex hose? and did you use the steel or aluminum ends? Premade or did you get a 10' length and make yourself?

                  Thanks

                    Exchange hurts

Paragon charged me $40 per line regardless of length and only $10 shipping USPS . So I ordered 3 lines for a total of $130USD plus exchange = $160CDN !!!!! GAWD
They come in a small range of colors of which I chose smoke and they have to know the orientation of the fittings as they bend them themselves .
If you havent seen the other thread - my experience with Rennsport was ...THEY SUCK

Just a thought, Why not take the original lines to the local hydraulic supply house? In Wichita the local favorite is "Hyspeco" and I am not sure if it is a local or a chain. Anyhoot, the guys there have never been unable to replicate any type of line needed. I highly suspect if I went in there with my old lines they would end up reusing the original banjo fittings and have a new swage on them.
                        Ich habe dich nicht gefragt.
