Hey everybody. I know i've only had my xs11 for a short time now. But i went out looken at some new bikes with my friend jeremy. We went all over god's creation. Anyways, we went to a honda dealer harley, suzuki, etc. Well finally we stumble into a yamaha dealer. And i fall in love!!! I almost traded mine in on a new v star 1100. It was black with the v star logo on the tank chrome for days and felt awesome to set in. And when i fired it up i was practically sold.
However i wanted some opinions from you guys. Most of you have seen my bike (pretty nice bike from what i've been told) Well this winter i'm gonna clean it up and replace fork seals and brakes and change the oil and new tires. Well in the spring i think i'm gonna go down and get me a new bike and sell the xs. It's a fun bike and i love it but it's not my style. It'll never be a loud pipe vtwin (i know i'll get crucified for this post but i'm cool with that). Since i can't afford a brand new 1100 v star i'm getting one slightly used.
So should i wait and put some money into the old xs i.e. new tires brakes fork seals fluid change and sell it next spring or just ride it like it is and sell it how it sets next spring. Then go down and get my new v star and call it a day?
