Greetings to those most knowlegable,
I have dove head long into the carbs on the 79sf and so far the only parts needed for the rebuild are two worn needle valves and seats. I am going to replace the lot and start fresh.
Took the advice I have read here about Mike's XS but am confused as to what the crossover numbers are for xs650 to xs1100.
The seats I have look like the BS38 CV carbs on Mike's site but there are two sets there that look the same. Part numbers 48-5019 and #48-1429. I don't see any others that look similar to the needle and seats I pulled.
I have hunted the forums for the correct numbers but have drawn a blank. Didn't want to Mike's and ask about parts for the 1100, having read here, about that it might be a tender subject.
Just point me in the right direction if the numbers are already posted in the forums somwhere.
I have been around this online group since late June and the wealth of practical knowledge here is astounding. Of course there is a corresponding ammount of BS, which my dad used to say, "Balances the world".
Thanks much for any assist.
Rodger
