    For me, it was the $$ and the ease.

    I do all the work on my bike (much like many here), and absolutely do not mind maintenance items.

    Once I get the chain replaced, I only need to check the tension every 3k miles while I'm already doing other maintenance. To me, yes the ACCT is an AWESOME mod, and I completely understand why folks like it, but I'm a tightwad, and subsequently went the cheaper (yet still effective) route of the MCCT mod.

    I don't think I want to run my OG chain to 100K...
