Well now i got a different machineist working on them he is also a custom Bike shop and he thinks he can get the screws out.A oh buy the way you all are right 78 79 tapper and 80s dont.My bike mec machine man said he can heat just the parts that need to be heated ,and push out the screws he worked on a set of honda carbs last week that was a mess.
he works on 4 wheeler and 3 wheels and lawnmower and motorcycle and builts model airplane motors so i trust HIM beside nothing to lose
i ll keep you posted on what happens tomorrow hes going to work on them tonight besides it has the WRONG SCREWS ( a least that yahama shop said .Edward / Tn

No you can not. 78 and 79s are alike and 80 is like 81

Down to one 1978 E. Stock air box with K&N filter, 81H pipes and carbs, 8500 feet elevation.

RE: broken idle jet screws
I used a dremel tool with a small drill that was with it to drill them out. Worked fine.1979 XS 1100 SF(16k now, more to come)
140 mains, 42.5 pilots, drilled airbox w/uni fliter
MikesXS Coils- bypassed ballast resistor- new wires
1975 GL1000 Gold Wing(81k-Old Faithful) and another 75 GL1000 project. MBS sickness for sure.
