  • Brake Pad Life

I was wondering what the average brake pad life span is under normal circumstances. I seem to be replacing a set.. either front or back (Never together so far) about as often as I change rear tires... 7-10k miles or so. I ride pretty aggressive, so I was just wondering.

I think i have only replaced my rear pads once since i owned the bike.I have replaced my front pads 3 times since i bought the bike.I use the front brake 98 % of the time so i guess that would be normal.

I try to use pretty even braking between the front and back so the nose doesn't dive when cornering and such.. but I was just wondering what's normal. Thanks.

            pads

Rears 'bout every 3 yrs, fronts 'bout every 5. I like to downshift a lot. I fix the tranny every couple years too.
