    OK got master cylinder off how do I remove piston to go over have feeling person who did rebuild allowed gasket to unseat but again don't want to break anything getting in there

    Fddlefoot - Take the handle off, and you will see a rubber boot. Carefully remove the rubber boot - they're easy to tear. You should see a circlip down in the recess. Remove the circlip and you will be able to remove the plunger assembly. It's pretty deep for regular snapring pliers. I used a couple dental picks to get mine out.
    I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

        Sorry TC first time ever worked on brakes and am real timid been reading everything on here could find last couple days but missed that one. As usual thanks everyone for all the help

          Hey Fddlefoot,

          No biggie, topics scroll off the pages very quickly around here. I did a search using the actual search button, typed in "front master cylinder piston" and found a whole page of threads, but remembered seeing that one from Tucman recently....I need to copy it and make a tech tip!! I didn't reread it just now, can't remember if he mentioned needing the special longer tipped C-ring pliers to get down in there...sold on Mikesxs.com, but folks have modified some cheap needlenose pliers for the same thing!
