Hey, y'all are more than welcome!

I got my new bearings and seals installed yesterday - yay! Thank you again, Nemisus!

Right now I'm making color versions of some of the more common items to print on the back side of the schematic so everything will be on the same page, more or less, and I can roll/fold a copy to keep with the bike.

        Does anyone have any suggestions?

        Regards,

        Scott

Thank you, Tim, but I'm no guru by a long shot. The schematic helps a lot in troubleshooting and working on it relieves some stress while waiting for parts.

"Where are those parts? The parts should have been here by now. Will the new parts work? Is that the truck?! Where are those parts...."

                        Parts

I know the feeling. I'm waiting on parts myself. I've been reduced to watching the UPS tracking site for now, great entertainment.

                          Bad Regulator/Rectifier

I'm having the same fun with FedEx; waiting on a bag-o-parts from Pennsylvania.

What started this whole thing has boiled down to an intermittant regulator/rectifier.

Every time I'd test it the regulator would show it was okay and charging voltage was right where it was supposed to be. It took a long time to actually catch it doing it, but sometimes the regulator would 'stick' high and overcharge to well over 17 Volts. I've had lots of fun finding and repairing the damage from long-term intermittant overvoltage.

After going through this entire process I found out the P.O. had to change the battery a couple of times. Apparently, it would run fine for a while, then suddenly lose water and burn up a battery... I have this sudden urge to open up another burned up factory-sealed component so I can add some more details to the schematic.

                          Regards,
