i have theese three fz600 i used to race
about 60pounds ago i been driving one of them you 400pounds 60 hp 60 degree fork angle so when i finished the xs it at first felt slow and sluggish but after 15mins it felt so good all that twitching is gone you lay a linedown it follows have drumy front tire i should get some proggesive front springsor lose some weight i weigh 270 but it was woth doing
there's no need to weld that adapter in
i just like to weld i'll let you know when i get some radials

          forks

yes about an inch another reason to go
bussa i got this fork on whim i saw the wheel with crummy tire and rotors for 19.99 on ebay no bids fork tubes for 9.99
and brake calipers 19.00 no bids on anything acof911 hook me up with tripple threes for 16.00 how could i say no to it.
the hardes part was ginding all the abs on my fairing to fit the wider forks the axel is 40% smaller in diameter gos to show how
over built the xs is. but the stock fork is so lite i dodn't think it's usable at all it's probablly not even strong enough for a 500 i think i'll call this one done and start on my other one going bussa and chain drive theres just no reason to go shaft anymore chains and sprockets last forever now it's funny that the new fj is shaft but that bike is so far away from my idea of what a bike should be in my mind the ideal
new bike would be the bandit but it's hard to beleive even heaver than a xs.

            xs's handling

the xs just needs modern handling and you're in a whole new category, I agree. My 530 chain is still tight after the first 1200 miles. TRBIG said there is some type of wax that will stay on the chain and not sling off. I will be checking into that. The grease that came on my O-ring chain is nicely splattered right above the shift mechanism part of the case....

It's a new kind of chain lube that LOOKS like a wax and isn't supposed to sling off like that. Hippydave uses it on his 'Bussa chain. I'll try to get a hold of him again and ask what it is. If his bike won't sling it... your Yammy won't! lol. I'm sure it's just something he picked up at a bike shop somewhere...

                          MONO swingarm

The Ducati swingarm from the even numbered ending machines, 748, 916 IIRC would mount up and have the monoshock attachment on the top, would save some trouble in the long run......sorry about your exposed bone

                              fj

they are 1/2 of an inch shorter than the stock xs but they are made to stick through the top camp to mount clipons. i made them 1/4 inch through the top clamp. i always had my xs about 1 inch out of the clamp so after all is said and done it's about 1/2 to3/4 shorter than before. handles feel nice no more twitching all the time you actuelly turn on arough surface
when xschop said he liked r 1 mono shock
i knew i had to try it i'm about as big as xschop and just like he said it was nite and day so when he said the diff the fork made i knew i had to try that too i got the fj fork brakes wheel and tripple clamps for
about 100.$ i knew the fj was a heavey bike then when i measured the fork i thought it would work good.

ps fork diameter is just under 1 1/2 inch
