Petcock parts

I had just ordered new o-rings (1J7-24534-00) and valves (16G-24523-00) is what they sent from America's motor sports.

And they are way to big. On the paper Invoice it states "1981 xs1100 (3H3-24534-00-00) and (3H3-24523-00-00)"

Does anyone have the correct number, or did they order the wrong year. I plan on taking them back tomorrow and want to have some ammo to explain the issue.

Can anyone help? Parts are for my 1980 XS1100 Special

Hey SrWalters,

The #'s that THEY say you needed ARE the correct #'s for an 81SH...Specials petcocks, O-ring and rubber valve!

One of the parts you listed, the 1J7-##### is from an 81 STANDARD petcock, don't know the 16G-#####??????

SO....are you sure you have a special, special tank with special petcocks? OR....do you have a Standard, which ARE different in design than the special???

The tank that I have has two petcocks with 4 settings, off,on, pri, and res.

There is a left and right pet cock. Is this for a Special?

According to the Model # it is an SG. Starts with 3J6###

Okay,

THat sounds like a Special with 4 fuel settings, and the 79-81 all use the same parts in the petcocks!!

3H3-24534-00-00 O-RING
3H3-24523-00-00 VALVE

So....if those parts are TOO BIG, then don't know what to tell you because they are the right parts #'s for the Specials petcocks for those parts!?

I have one torn down and the disc (valve} measures .90 inch on my dial mic. Mine is a 79 soecial but I am pressty sure they are the same.

PS I have grungy grey keyboard and poor eyesight. But I did use the BIG EYE on the mic dial
