when I said I fix junk up for cheap, I still put about $1400 in it over 6 months, including the tools that I bought, insurance and dmv backup fees. I took my chances not even knowing how many cc it was, just needed a ride badly, trusting that 23k mi on the odo

now I know klonk should barely reach that market value, but the way things are going, a model that has proven to hold 30 years will become vital to a lot of broke ass cagemen, no intelligence required

so when I saw the rustiest xs in venice, busted everything and price tag $1500, in comparison to what I read on this site, I laughed. I'll post pictures, you'll laugh. Made me feel a billionaire.
But what else, buy smaller cc for the same price and get eaten alive?

I bought each of mine for $400. One never ran for me(parts), the other-and the one that brought me to this site-ran but was a mess.
With the parts purchased and the mechanics payment, I'll be into the bikes for about $1500. The one I kept(the parts bike, ironically)will be almost as good as new. The other one is in the garage labelled and stored for if something happens.
For the amount I have invested and the bike I got out of it, there's no question of value in my book. I feel like the estimate Hammer got is pretty close
