o-ring

Yes, the o-ring from bike bandit. If you want to fix it now and not wait for the o-ring, take the old one down to your local auto parts store and have them match one up for you. I've done this with many o-rings on these bikes, but not that one in particular. You should be able to find one without a problem. HTH

So I looked and it is the o-ring around the plug (Plug, Special Shape according to bikebandit). How do I remove the plug?

Very carefully.. lol. It's soft cast material and I broke the first one I ever removed. That part sticking out is what you're supposed to grab and pull out on. It may have some junk built up around the outside, but it is just an O-ring and friction holding it in.

Also.. a little bit of oil will run out when you pull it, so have a rag ready.

When you say a little bit of oil, are you kidding and really mean the whole engine will empty of oil if I pull it out?

LOL... NO. I mean a little spit like a thimble full, but a small run that seems to keep going while you have it out... even while leaned on the kickstand..

To empty the whole engine out, just crank it up and rev it a couple times... just have a clear line of sight away from the bike so you can eventually find that plug again.. lol.

I just ordered the o-ring as well as a plug for the end of my tensioner. Hopefully all goes well and I can get the galley plug out easily.
