      Yet another use for WD40

      Hi Si,
      rather than using my wife's hairspray and thereby suffering her wrath; I use WD40.
      Shove a skinny screwdriver between the 'bar & the grip and give it a squirt of WD40 to loosen the old grip so it twists off. Give the new grip a squirt inside and it will slither right on. Initially the new grip will turn on the 'bar but the next day it's on there solid.
