'Cos if the clear "pairing" of the plugs, it might well be related to fuel flow from the tank; You sanded and painted the tank?... could be the filters INSIDE the tank.
Check that you have a good flow of fuel from each side of the tank. If the octy is still in there, THROW IT AWAY........
If you can't hear the changes in idle as you adjust the idle mix, you have a problem somewhere which is beyond just tuning; you either have a circuit not flowing, or you need someone with "tuned-in" ears.......
Stick with it; It looks beautiful, it will go equally well!
