Just got a set of Hyper-Lite brake lights. Two units of 8 LEDs, each of which can either flash continuously when brake is applied or flash for 5 seconds and then stay solid. I think I'll choose the second option. They also remain on as running lights at a lower intensity. Gonna mount them on either side of the license plate.

Being an electrical simpleton, I would like to ask folks here (Randy) which wires are which on our taillight. There is a blue and a yellow wire leading to each bulb, and a black wire/spade connector to each. I need to know which is the brake wire, the taillight wire and the ground (black I presume)... Thanks

        Auxiliary LED Flashing Brake Lights

        HI,
I did the same mod to increase my visibility from the rear. All for under $60. Check out this link for the info:

        http://www.webbikeworld.com/lights/m...-brake-lights/

I got two 21 LED arrays that measure 2" X 6" and fit perfectly on both sides of the license plate when you mount all of these on a car size license plate mount/holder.

        Inventory:
        Truck LED arrays (2) $30
        Adjustable Flasher $20
        Bell license pplate mount $8
1 Hr of work PRICELESS !!

        WORD OF CAUTION!!
You do not want to cut your brake light wire, just tap into it.
You do not want to affect the regular operation of the stock light should the mod fail for whatever reason.

        Hope this helps, good luck

          hyper lites

hey Dean...I just did this to my ST1100 last fall...mine have 16 LEDS per side and were supposed to flash 5 times in five seconds then go solid with the brake lite.Mine actually flash 19 times in 6 seconds before going solid....ppl behind me stop way back or either that then they are slower to approach me...As for the wires...the hyperlites should have an instruction page that explains the color coding for the different makes of bikes...Anyways the lites are great and they are bright even in bright sunlight!See you at XSEast
