When you get the sucker out, you might want to consider a nylon washer before you reinstall a filler plug. It sure makes life easier!Skids (Sid Hansen)

Got it out
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. One thing abt the impact driver is that in this prticular case it would not have worked as the allen head "slot" is too shallow for an impact driver. The other suggestions abt the varying temperatures of the different metals is rather interesting. The final outcome came when fellow XSive Randy came by today. He basicaly used my torch to heat jus the housing around the bolt then he managed to get an allen tool to lock in and with a hammer and a pry bar Viola! That satisfying crack when you break the toque of the bolt.To see and read all the details go to the other thread that I have posted on Madmax. Thanks again everyone!Been a long day gonna crash soon...BNELast edited by madmax-im; 04-13-2008, 07:47 PM.1980 XS650G Special-Two
