    Best Mod Combo?

    Hey,

    Well I am looking to do a few mods uncluding a 4-1 exuast and pod filters and rejeting accordingly. What is the best pod filter set up? I have read a few pieces here and there that some pods are not that great. what road do I need to travel? I have seen the usual cone pods and the oval ones.....is one better than the other?

      I haven't yet heard any reviews, but these from Mikes look AWESOME to me.

          I agree those are prettty sweet! I've been leaning more towards those.

              I believe it was Trbig/Tod that posted some photos and such comparing the Oval pods to the Round ones, and that the OVAL ones didn't have the big LIP on them to interfere with air flow like the smaller round ones! And these even say "XS", awesome!

                  52mm. XS performance Pod Filter - Tapered Oval style with Chrome end cap.
                  Pod is an improved replica (Dyno & flow bench developed) of the most popular
                  brand on the market. Features molded in internal stack, no step rubber mount
                  flange and Chrome end cap. Filter is supplied dry but washable filtration
                  material may be oiled for improved dust filtration . Filter body is 72mm.
                  (2.84") deep x
                  75mm. (3") wide x 101mm. (4") high (at base).

                  Fits: 1970-79 stock Mikuni BS38 CV Carbs + our PHF Dellorto Carb kits with stacks.

                      just fitted them about an hour ago. No run report yet as tank is getting sprayed and I haven't put my new fule lines on either.

                              WOW, I LIKE THOSE, I have pretty much decided on the oval pod filters as shown. NICE!!!

                                          put my carbs back together with the new jets, put em on and the new filters.....looks pretty good....what do you think?

                                                      haha yeah, the pics are from my phone so it dosent have too much as far as MPXs. I may take some with the digital.

                                                      will fire it up this week when my 4-1 gets in. the weather is so nice here i am going crazy not being able to ride it and having to settle with ridig the KZ1000.
