Ok I was able to get off 2 pics before my battery died...LOL so they are... http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...x-im/002-1.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...x-im/003-1.jpg
Keep in mind I just gt back from an 1160 mile trip thru a winter storm...and this bike is really filthy...from road crap...The bike runs 100%...no tranny issues but the way its carbuerated it is a bit cold blooded until it warms up....I was able to take it for a short ride today(wet roads)...its not legal yet either...The bike came with the original gas tank but the PO put on a tank from the standard XS11.I also have a host of parts and owners manual and a Clymer as well. This was a 1 owner machine that was bought new as a leftover in 1984.The guy pampered it and really kept up after it and in almost Flawless condition.Well worth the $!
His ad stated 12K original miles but when I saw it the actual mileage is 10k+ miles...Cant wait for some drier weather!
Very Nice.
Great to get one with such low miles too.
Did notice the emblems are missing...
81 side cover emblems are a little harder to find.
mro
BTW Roy...nice T shrit, black be my favorite color too.
Think the company would sell a lot more of em tho if they
got some young babe to model em instead of that old fart
I am trying to add a xs11 to my stable soon,I like the name Max. I am naming my new bike the Bandit 1300 I bought( Light ME UP Johnny ) That was a classic line in the original Mad Max I will get some pictures going of my new 1300 bandit up in the other bike category.
I will probably have my XS by Sunday if the guy does not sell it from under neath me.

mro...look closer the emblems on the side covers are there..but the orig owner painted them black...the gas tank is off the standard XS and there are no yamaha emblems on the tank.I have the original smaller gas tank with the Yamaha Emblems but again the PO blacked them out...he was going for a no nonsense minimlaist streetfighter look....he also changes the tail of the bike the original grab bar that ran along under the seat and bcak...had the tail/brake light assy on it...he changed that and mounted the tail/brake assy. onto the rear fender...lots of other nice little features and touches..all in all a very rare find if I do say so myself...
OK..I did.
Then put my glasses on
Thought it was just a scratch or something.
mro
BTW, just what condition is the "old" special fuel tank?
Have no money...but do happen to have a bunch of
parts, even some 81 parts like the 4RO TCI.

The condition of the special fuel tank..is like the rest of the bike...pristine.The Yamaha Emblems have been blacked out..later today I'll get more photos up...I like the blacked out look to the badges.
Nice bike! I like the color.
The shirt was given to me from a friend of mine from Australia. I was going to fly over and attend the rally but my wife blew a fuse.
I can't understand a woman. They say Yes and mean no.

A biker was riding along a California beach when suddenly the sky clouded above his head and, in a booming voice, the Lord said, "Because you have tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish."
The biker pulled over and said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over anytime I want."
The Lord said, "Your request is materialistic, think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things.
Take a little more time and think of something that would honor and glorify me."
The biker thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, I wish that I could understand my wife. I want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says nothing's wrong, and how I can make a woman truly happy."
The Lord replied,
"Do you want two lanes or four on that bridge?"
