I removed my aftermarket oil cooler, can I just plug the two holes and run it?

Hi Mr Wheelie,
Where are the take-offs on the engine?
They are usually on a sandwich plate between the bottom of the motor and the oil filter. If it is there, just drop off the filter and remove the plate. Filter will then fit back up to the bottom of the motor, as it did from the factory.
AlanBIf it ain't broke, modify it!

YOU CANNOT JUST BLOCK THOSE HOLES!!!!!! You need the get the oil feed pipe that WAS in there. That is the feed line to the top end, as in oil supply to the cams! DO NOT RUN THE BIKE WITHOUT A LINE BETWEEN THE TOP AND BOTTOM!!!Ray Matteis

Hi Mr Wheelie,
What he said!........ Have a look at a manual, fiche, or even a decent pic of the engine; you will see what it should look like.
They don't go wrong or break..... I bet there are a lot lying in sheds and garages around the membership!

I agree... all the engines use the same oil line and someone will have one a lot cheaper than having one made.

I have a spare pipe by the way...
Nice of you to brag... but the guy needs an OIL line!
When/if you get an oil line, you'll need 2 new copper looking crush washers for each banjo end (4 total). Most any auto stores will have them in the brake parts section.

As was stated I'm sure someone will have an oil supply line. If you have new copper washers on hand use them ... if not ...
I never buy new copper washers... I just heat up the old ones with a plumbers propane torch and (don't MEAT them) then reuse them. Been doing it for years on oil and brake lines with no problems or leaks.
