I have a mounting bracket. But what I don't have is good instructions on how to do it.

Here is my Stealth fairing
This was an orignal Yamaha accessory.
I think it looks cool, but the turbulance over the fairing at speed, 85mph+ is pretty bad.
Still looks cool though!

National Cycle Plexifairing III on my...
XJ1100. I had one on my XJ650 also. I don't ride over 85 mph with it. Did that once...glad I survived the severe wobble. I've ridden in 25 mph winds without incident. I like the fact that the low pressure area is in front of you...kinda pulls you toward the handlebars. My $0.02.

My/our 81 SH had the same fairing as skippy shows in the pic and we didn't like it at all. The biggest problem with it was the distortion of view in front of you Still have it and all the brackets...anybody want it ...cheap?
I currently have the Nat'nl Cycle Plexi III with lower extensions on my 80SG and I love it. I have had no wobble problems at high speed at all.

Wind Screens
It seems that the perfect windshield has yet to be made as I have tried them all but of late I have become a minimalist and the National Cycle Plexi-Star II for distance or the National Cycle Street Shield for cruising and top end blasting have become my favorites. Large fairings and windshields are like pushing a barn door down the highway, way too much baggage.81 Black "1179" Xcessively trick Super Special. One owner (me).

The thing is, it's either the fairing or you.
I love the look of the naked XJ11, but not how it feels tearing down the highway.
I got used to a good fairing and the advantage making the wind (and whatever else) go around you instead of hitting you in the head and face.
That was why I started this thread.
I'm leaning toward getting the Plexi III for highway stuff, and maybe Plexi-Star II as a summer shield. Or maybe the National Cycle Heavy-Duty Cruising windshield ... ?
