    Hey Jessie,

You took the words right out of my mouth! Yes, SizzSam, those 140 mains will blacken your plugs quickly! It would be advised to get some 120's to put in there BEFORE you put the carbs back on! Otherwise you might also experience some severe bogging getting into the mains until you get the rpms way up!?

Glad to hear that yours doesn't have the tunnel, but that is why it doesn't need those massive 140 mains, since it's not sharing it's fuel with the pilot circuit. As Jessie said, it's your play, but we think you'll be getting more unwanted carb R&R experience if you go with the 140 mains!

Hi Jesse, you're not being pushy, any good advise is appreciated. I haven't had the bike on the road so I don't know how it ran at speed. It would crank up and idle but then it started pouring fuel from the air pods so I thought I would clean the carbs and check the floats, etc. The bike has 4into1 exhaust and pod air filters so what jets do you think I should use? The specs are 110 for the main and 42.5 for pilot. My main is 140 and pilot is 45. Do I change the main and pilot or just the main and do you know where I could purchase them. Dennis Kirk has some but says for Mikuni for RS and HS carbs. Do mine fit either description? Thank you for the help.

        Place to get Main Jets!

        Hey SizzSam,

MikesXS has them for a decent price, but they state a $50.00 order minimum for free shipping, otherwise their shipping charges are similar to BB!

        http://www.mikesxs.net/mikesxs-fuel_...ategory_id=4.5

Main Jet - Large Round Type
        #120 Main Jet - Large Round Type - N100/604 Mikuni type - Fits:1980-84 Stock
XS650 Mikuni 34mm. CV carbs and aftermarket Mikuni TM 36-68 Flatslide carbs.
        Sold in 2's.

        Part #48-0113 $6.00 USD /Pr
You'll need to order 2 packs of course. Your 45 pilots should be fine with your setup. I have similar and am running 42.5's but have the IM screws turned out a bit more to compensate!

PS Dennis Kirk is a bit pricey, also is Bike Bandit!

Thanks TC I'll get them ordered from Mike's. I did check bike bandit and the ones on the schematic were like $10.00 each. I appreciate you saving me some money.
