  • spot light whitout fairing

Hi everybody, I am new to this forum and I have a xs eleven 1100cc ,19981.I buy it used.I have a fairing and a windshield installed in.I don' t know if it was there new or if installed after.Anyway I would like to remove it.But the spot light and flasher light is in.This is my question:Is there a way to install the lights without the fairing?I don' t need the windshield.

You will need to find an original complete headlight bucket. The blinkers may be removed and reused unless they are actually part of the fairing. It depends on who made it. Pictures?

      Probably you have 1101cc

So is your 81 an "H" (standard) or a "SH" (special)
On the standard turns mount to forks with a two bolt bracket.
On the special on the head light brackets.

Head light brackets should still be there under the fairing.

        Hey MRO,

His location is near Quebec, Canada, hence the French Accent!

Sebast, many sources for parts you need, Ebay, MikesXS.com. The fork mounting brackets for the Standard are no longer available from Yamaha, but still options. As stated, you can still mount them thru the holes that mount the "Headlight" bucket to the fork ears/brackets, or you can fashion/fabricate some out of simple angle bracket material!?
