took carbs apart and cleaned dunked the bodies after removing butterfly seals and enrichers changed float bowl needle and seats and main jets by tour max (carbkit capital) 137.5 carb spray in all orifices reset float heights to 26 mm. pre synced butterflys with bread tie from # 3 and out reinstalled and Bang right to red line. Just removed again and rechecked float height all good . cleaned the diafram assy and oiled the slide ... Going to recheck thee butterflys ,while they were on I adjusted the idle speed knob out til there was slack in the cable and it still red lined Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Hey Scootjak,
Check out THIS THREAD and PGGG's tip on bench synching by using the holes in the top of the carb bodies, much smaller opening than the breadstick!
ALso, make sure the all of the butterflies are actually closed when the throttle plate is slack! Sometimes, it hangs up on the intake mount clamps or such, so that even though the main idle screw is backed out so that it's NOT touching the throttle plate, the plate is hanging up and keeping the butterflies open too far=REDLINE!
