In June I rode down to Cabo San Lucas and back and on a long stretch of Mexican desert I ran my 79f to redline in 5th gear which translates to 135mph. My speedo was registering over 140. The engine was pulling strongly right up to redline, I held it there briefly and then resumed cruising at around 85. Bike is stock with small Givi bags and a small National wind screen. Bike was quite stable at that speed.
