Hello,
I am having problems. I cleaned the carbs with randy about two weeks ago. I finally got the time to mount them to the bike and started it up. It was idling high around 3K rpm.
I adjusted it down to around 1200, and took the bike for a short ride. Turned out to be a very, very short ride. The bike had no power. I was able to baby it and finely got the RPMs up and she suddenly took off like she was fired from a cannon. Fine until I got to the next hill and power steadily decreased until she died.
Got the bike home and cant get it to idle, either wants to idle at 3K or not at all. Took cabs off and found that idle mixture screw in carb 3 was broken and stuck in the hole.
Found how to clear the hole but now I need a new mixture screw. This is for a 79f.
I think I also need the “T” that fit between the carbs for the vacuum lines that go to the air-box. Any help for part source would be appreciated.
Will MikesXS pilot screw #48-5011 fit the 79f carbs?
