I'm running the same battery. I hope you read the instructions and put it on the charger FIRST! It needs a good DEEP charge to bring it up to capacity. If you start using it right out of the box, then it will not be able to reach it's full potential later!
Yes, a low battery can affect the coils and spark. If it gets too low, the TCI will not work. Also, folks have reported some strange findings of weak spark on 1-3 or 2-4 combos, which are not shared by the same coil. The way the spark travels is out one plug, thru the engine and them back up thru the other plug back into the coil. When the voltage gets weak to the coil, it makes a weaker spark, but is sometimes enough to fire the 1st plug, but not the second on that same coil!
