If it makes you feel better I am no pro either. There are a few here though.
It sounds like your main jets are good, Check the WOT again and if it is good after 4k you may want to look into going up one size for your pilot jet. But that is only if your runnin lean in the lower Rpm range. I have saved a jetting guide in my favorites and it has helped me so I am going to post it again

JAT remember turning idle mix screws in leans, turning out richens.
So when doing your sync, you may want to start with them 1 turn out from fully seated. then that should give you some adjustment room. when doing the sync just get the oil levels even, dont worry about the RPMs.
