thanks for all the help guys...i found one of the problems a bad end on the #3 plug wire after pulling the coils to test...after a little snip and a refit..replaced all airbox components and hoses..bike then started and ran enough to warm up..idle and popping smoothed out once it warmed up..i am hoping now that i can put my nifty new fish tank based tool on it and get the carbs to a reasonable setting..thanks once again for all the help and i look forward to more tips on this and other topics..
