I used to have an XS 650. A 1979 Model. I hated that bike. I probably would have enjoyed it more now that I have learned a bunch on here. I like my 1100 and I loved my Honda, but I never liked that 650 from the day I test drove it. I paid $400 for it so I bought it for cheap fun and rode it a bit. I still am not sure what I didn't like about it.

650
650's were dirt cheap a few years back and very numerous But now there hard to find everyone wants them for choppers bobbers flattrackers etc . Kz 900's are really rare hear but i still see alot of kz 1000's . The point i was getting at was there were alot of bikes made in the 70's with a higher resale value than the 11 ,xs650, kz900,kz1000, cb750 alot of theese bikes fetch top dollar . Thats why i posted on the forum about resale value just wondering why it was so low for a decent bike.

Well perhaps the value is lower because as good as these bikes are they can be cantankerous at times and if someone does not know how to fix them them they think the value is low. It is true that a bike that is not running is not worth much. Myself I find the bike easy to work on.

I'm glad they don't cost much.
I paid $60 for my E and $500 for my LG.
I don't intend to sell either one.
I would trade one or both for a couple of dream vehicles I've always wanted (or had)
A 1956 Ford F100 is one, it was my 1st vehicle when I got my license.
Another is a 1969 Mustang Mach 1, or Boss 302.Pat Kelly

78 standard
Just bought a 78 standard for 400.00 and its nice . I gave 1200.00 for the special and this one is alot nicer. Has bags fairing and backrest. I own a cabinet shop and the owner is just letting me take 400.00 of his cabinets for the bike. Has'nt been road in a couple of years but it was started and the gas was drained. I'm gonna put a new battery in it tomorrow see how it goes.
