    Yeah, thanks for updating that. Tell me I don't know how to search 'em, lol.

    So you say the cable was just corroded some inside the coating. That would make some sense, but when I stripped mine back it looked fairly new. I crimped on new ends. I thought I had it grounded well... for sakes of electrical testing I have everything on the right side of the bike (ie. battery resting on right peg and brake lever grounded to stator cover). Hmmmm....

      I'm in the process of making new battery cables . Also thinking about the extra ground cable to the starter after reading a thread of Randy's :

      I could only find the solder type cable ends so I hope they work out . The PO had used these as well but there were over-sized and he crimped them on and they were pretty loose . I cleaned up the frame point where the negative battery cable attaches and cleaned the battery posts with baking soda and a wire brush . After I coated them with vaseline (still havent got any copper anti-seize).
