Also, just how important is it to have both side locating dowels in the crankcase? One has seemingly gone MIA and I'm looking for it, but loosing hope...1979 XS11F Standard - Maya - 1196cc (out of order)

Nevermind about the 2nd part - apparently I am a little moronic... when I split the cases 2+ months ago, the dowel fell out and I stuck it where I guessed it might go...it's now in the right place1979 XS11F Standard - Maya - 1196cc (out of order)

My question is, are the bearings good, or did you need some of the other ones? and how soon until we ride together? I need to ride down the Atlantic coast!Ray Matteis

My mind is getting a bit slower, but I'm glad I finally remembered that I had seen that stupid little thing
Ray - bearings are all good and my motor is mostly back together now. I didn't realize how late it was already so I'll ship the other bearings back in the morning.
After I complete break in, I'd be up for a nice long ride - always wanted to try the IBA's 50cc1979 XS11F Standard - Maya - 1196cc (out of order)
