  • #4 plug carbon fouled

Put on a new plug cap and no help. Somebody give me a quick and easy fix, PLEASE.

If only your #4 plug is fouling the odds are something is wrong with the #4 carb. Float level too high ...etc.

I don't know what range rpms it is fouling, but if its fouling at 4000 and above (well above the transition) then, besides the float level, you might check the press-in main air jet. With the carb right-side up, it is at the 4 o'clock position. If that air bleed is plugged, the main jet will use gasoline at a higher rate.

        Here's another idea.

Plug kept fouling on #2 cylinder. Pulled the carbs and the #2 pilot jet was missing.

Replaced the jet bike ran fine. Years later rebuilt the motor and found the original #2 pilot buried in the top of the #2 chamber.

Heh! Were you experimenting with some sort of direct-to-the head injection? Amazing!
