Hi Folks,
I've just been called by a friend of mine with a strange problem. He has a 2H9 engine rebuild after an accident at an engine repair shop. Now here it comes. After refrehsing oil and replacing a new rubber gasket from the oilfilter he was doing app. 60 miles full speed on a highway no problems. The next day with cold engine after 50 yards the oilfilter gaskett gets blown out. Replacing everything, test the engine for 2 h in the shop no problem. Cooling down again and start the engine same **** happens again. Now tell me whats going on???????
Already swapped complete oilcooler system, incl. hoses, high pressure switch in adaptor plate (2H9-13461-00) didn't solve the problem. Everything reachable without demount hte engine was blown throughh with high pressure air. Engine breather etc is clear. Compressions cil 1+4 10bar, 2+3 9bar, Total running miles app. 45k.
Any suggestions? Like to hear from the experts :-)
