Hey Corzen,
The turn signal stalk looks like it might have gotten broken at the base? Partsnmore sells the stalks for cheap. BikeBandit wants 3 times as much, but they also have the rubber gasket.

There's also some kind oh eliptical baseon the end of the stalk. I think (feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken) it keeps the signal from turning and pointing down or up or forward etc. if you cant find a new replacement, try a boneyard, or ebay, or anyone you know that might have one, or get something aftermarket...you know whatever you want to do man....L8
I will look in the garage tomorrow to see if I have a chrome stock for the signals.Certainly will have the rubber frame crommet.Send me a PM . I might have a complete signal assembly and the chrome piece that fits inside the rubber frame crommet. andreas

Lorax, the XJ and XS Specials have a square shaped rubber grommet hole and outer shape, the square shaped stalk fits into it, and the rubber grommet aligns with the square hole in the frame which keeps it aligned. The XS650's were the ones that used the elliptical shaped bracket base and grommets with a positioning pin!

oh, ok, must be more hybrid inbred parts on mine...had no rear signals when I got it, bought some from a boneyard....I thought they fit in the holes a little funny...oh well, they blink, guess I'll chock that one up to experience.
