US$99 for a set of four is certainly less than new slides from Yamaha. They should do the trick for you.

You will need to carefully separate the two plastic collars that retain the existing diaphragm so you can use them to retain the new diaphragms.

I'll try to do a bit more searching through the archives - seems to me someone used to offer a service doing exactly this kind of diaphragm replacement.

how would these work with the stock BS34 carbs and slides? seems that the ufo is designed to be inserted into, and fill the cavity on the bottom of the existing carb slide. as the bottom of the carb slides on my 81LH are solid, these would be somewhat useless.

I'm pretty sure these things are for regular slide type carbs( throttle cable opperates slide) not the CV carbs.

            Flat out don't know.
From reading there "add" sounds like would work on our carbs, but..........

78/79 and 80/81 BS34'4 round slide's are different dia..., and they don't acknowledge this on there site. Would need to call there tech support to find out.
