    Thanks Pat I will try that. My old rims have weights on them. I suppose I'm to take these off first before starting the process. If you spin the wheel and it comes to a different place each time(no heavy side) is that when it's balanced? Have a good one.

      Yep. Start with no weights. Ideally the wheel will have no heavy spots. Ideally the tire won't either .
      Don't balance the bare wheel, just note the heavy spot (if any).
