I used the Yamaha gas tank cleaner. You mix it with water in the tank. I had to leave it overnight as the tank I was cleaning was really bad. It came out like new.

Pggg, does the POR 15 method require any kind of special paint finish protection for the exterior? I have been thinking of doing something like this but am not sure about screwing up my tank finish.Mike Giroir

Hey TAD, don't need to worry about the paint, the por15 stuff is water soluble and hoses out harmlessly, just wipe off any of the final coating if any spills on the exterior - which is unlikely anywayComment
