Actually the seller was booted from ebay having several of his other items terminated in mid-auction. He had low feedback, not at the level of having an ebay store, and the items he was selling had the golf cart part number. He did state that it was a genuine yamaha motorcycle part.
I got in absolutely no "trouble" by contacting ebay or ebay members and, while I can't remember the wording, ebay customer service was very positive when they replied to my report. (Tho' it was probably just a form reply triggered by an F8 key)
Again, if these are actually true motorcycle parts and not just golf cart emblems that fit I'll admit I'm wrong and apologize. Ebay definitely exists in the caveat emptor portion of the universe and I see nothing wrong with letting fellow XSives know about a possible ripoff.
