        Thanx randy

i bought these from yamaha, the seals r to big
and dont sit snugly on the shaft, the shaft isnt worn,
now have to buy another set, the air was leaking big
time thru them. i wont buy them thru yamaha again.

any one know if mikesxs sells them
and the part number and if they fit snug
        on the shaft,

also after part no for the pilot jets 42.5
        from mikesxs

        thanx again

Probably expensive but another source that will have the correct seals is Rob Reil at www.motorcyclecarbs.com

                petejw,

Read the posts above yours. Getting the seals from Rob Reil is a crapshoot as well as Yamaha. You need to verify the carbs you have in order to get the right seals. The ones I got from Yamaha (through bikebandit) were a perfect fit.

Early models '78-'79 had BS34II carbs, later models had BS34III carbs.

                  petejw,

The butterfly shaft seals from MikesXS fit perfectly on my 81LH. I have not began the rebuild on my 79F, but they should work for it as well.

Sorry, forgot to include the part number:

Throttle Butterfly Shaft Seal - Fits: Stock Mikuni BS38 CV carbs on 70-79 650's
                  Part #48-5021
                  $5.00 USD EA.

                    petejw;

Sorry, I got confused between screens. the posts I referred to are here. I had trouble with the seals from Rob Reil. And, BTW, he never did respond to my complaint, just said "use 'em, they'll be fine". Right. Read through the whole thing, hope it helps!

                        Randy,
was reading that other thread of yours,
did u end up fixing ur seals up,

in proms thread he gave 2 part numbers
Checked the microfiche. Used a '79f(BS34II) and an H model(BS34III)
                        BS34II was 2A2-14997-00-00
                        BS34III was 256-14997-00-00.

the ones i had ordered are for the bs34III

was wanting to know from anyone the differences
                        in the different model seals.
man im having a hard time getting the right ones.

                        again thanx heaps
