  • right side sparkplug keeps fouling out????

    hello guys and gals new to the forum,got a question,the right side spark plug keeps fouling out notice some power lost and sputtering put another plug in and its fine until it happens again...Any suggestions??? thanks:

    Maybe the fuel valve (aka float valve) is leaking, or the carbs need synched, or you are using the choke too long, or the pilot screw in No 4 needs screwed in a tad....

    Down to one 1978 E. Stock air box with K&N filter, 81H pipes and carbs, 8500 feet elevation.

      Could be electrical(weak or intermittant spark to #4. Bad wire or plug cap), but most likely, as Skids mentioned, is carb related.
      Float needle not seating, float set incorrectlty, pilot screw setting... hell, the main jet might have fallen off and is lying in the bottom of the bowl!
      Either way, the carbs should be removed fer a look-see.
