  • SHOCK STUD SIZE & leaking oil from head gaskets

what is the stud size on the shock mount on the 1100 and how hard is it to fix a oil leak on the head gaskets?

The rear shocks use a 10mm X 1.25 nut, IIRC. The head gasket hardly ever leaks oil, but the valve cover gasket will. If you need to check the valve lash, just pick up a new gasket and the "half moon" seals. Once the new parts are on, you should not have a leak. If it look like it's leaking from the front of the engin, it's probably the cam chain adjuster that is leaking.
