  • What's next?!

    I finally got the bike running, so I got up this morning and spent 2 hours reinstalling the d*** airbox so I could start dialing it in. Got everything put back on and when I turned the key on, there was nothing. I am not getting any juice. I checked the new battery, plenty of juice. So I have spent the last 6 hours going through all the connections, checking the fuse box and anything else I can think of.
    If anybody has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate.
    This bike does NOT want me to ride her!!!

    I worked a longtime once to find out that my killswitch was on .

    In behind your fuses ther is some wires you may have pulled a part behind the air box one littel from the starter botton.

      Did you check the MAIN fuse? It's not in the fuse box...it's a rubber thingy in the wire under the LEFT side cover (or sometimes pushed up to just under the seat on the left side.

          you the man!!

          You called it Dragonrider. I opened the main fuse and I must of broke it while I was fighting with that **** airbox! Put in the spare and she lit up and I fired it up. SWEET!

            Cool!

            When I changed the fusebox for a blade fuse one, I also relocated the main fuse in there.

              sounds good!

              I just ordered 2 of those blade fuse blocks from Topcat. I think I will do the same. Do you know if there is a reason why they have the main fuse clear on the other side of the bike?

                Hey Bill,

                The Main Fuse is a higher rated 30AMP, the wire tap from the battery cable is also bigger, and I "GUESS" allows less distance of that wire putting it separately from the other fuses, vs. routing it to the fuseblock and then back up to the main switch!?

                I would think you might just get a separate SINGLE fuse holder at Walmart or such to replace the main one with, so as not to have to mess too much with that LARGER gauge wire!?

                I do recommend running the AUX terminal THRU the new block, though!
