the 1st the bikes have a balist resistor .it is solid state but not true cdi wires same as early chrysler electronic just for fun 2 chrysler units 1 wired to each pickup will run it.

      Inductive Electronic, not CDI.

        Bandet,

The Accel coils are 3 Ohm, so you should ditch your ballast resistor. Pull it and plug the two wiring harness leads together.

Accel lists them as part #140403, 3 Ohm dual coil kit. Link to catalog, look at page 11:

                Bandet,

You can't tell by his description. He says it's for a CDI system, not for Points Systems!? HE may or may not know what he's calling a CDI! Our systems use a TCI, which is just a transistorized "points" system, and uses much higher Ohm levels, 1.5 to 3.0 ohms depending on what year. A TRUE CDI system uses around 0.7ohms!! That WILL FRY THE TCI!!!

You can PM the seller and see if he can tell you a model number off of the coils, and then check the Accel site to see IF they are the 0.7 ohm series or the 3.0 ohm series!

it is the .7 series ones so i need the 3 ohm seriers right so looks like i will have to pass on them coils and might just have to buy new
