It seems to me that the vacum petcocks are a major source of problems. I mean, wouldn't it just be so much simpler to have petcocks from a special with on and off switches???

Are there usable replacement petcocks out there? I know the ones on mikesxs won't fit, but what about the universal ones on partsnmore with the adapter?

Hey knewsom vacuum petcocks are heaps better than on/off levers just for convenience. The only problems happen when they haven't been stripped and cleaned inside. I always bag those later octopus systems as having way too many hose connections but if they're in good nick suppose they might be alright, but what was the point of turning 2 simple vac taps into that birdsnest of tubing?
